Table kits supply only the steel frame and fixings — the tabletop is not included, so you fit your own timber, glass or board. This lets you choose the material, thickness and finish that suits your room, from solid oak to scaffold boards. The frame's mounting holes are pre-drilled to screw the top down easily.

Ø27 mm table frames use thinner tube for lighter desks and small tables, while Ø42 mm frames use heavier tube for large dining tables and workbenches that carry more weight. The thicker diameter adds rigidity and reduces wobble on wide tops. Choose Ø42 mm for tabletops over about 1.5 metres or heavy use.

A table frame kit assembles in around 30 to 60 minutes using basic tools: an Allen key or spanner to tighten the bolts and a screwdriver or drill to fix the top. The steel parts are pre-drilled and simply bolt together, so no welding or metal cutting is required. Attach the frame to your tabletop last, then stand it upright.

Galvanised table frames resist rust thanks to their zinc coating and are the better choice for garden or patio tables left outdoors. Black powder-coated frames give a modern indoor look but are best kept under cover to protect the finish. Both versions are sturdy steel; galvanised simply handles moisture and weather better.
